Timber Windows
- New softwood frames were sourced from sustainably managed European forests via the Forest Stewardship Scheme (FSC).
- The double glazing comprises of a 4mm outer pane and 6mm inner pane with 16mm air gap increasing the performance of the glazing.
- The double glazed units have improved the U-value of the windows in comparison with the original single glazed windows.
- Water based preservatives, paints and stains - have been used as they are more environmentally friendly in manufacture and maintenance.
