Bournville Village Trust,(BVT) as developers of the scheme in Shenley, has refurbished an existing parade of shops, extended the car park; renewed the paving and lighting; provided close circuit television; built a state of the art medical centre and twelve new bungalows for rent for older people and totally renewed the existing BVT owned park. The scheme includes public art commissioned specifically for this scheme and fully mature trees, that are already twenty years old.

Alan Shrimpton, Director of Development at Bournville Village Trust said: "The proposals are a comprehensive approach to redevelopment and include high quality design that relates well to its context. The existing Shenley Fields was the biggest single development scheme embarked on by BVT in 1950."
