FUN FOR ALL AT DOSELEY
July 29 2004
BVT staff worked with Beth Johnson staff to organise the day: Jane Griffiths, Lady Grocott (She prefers Sally), Lord Grocott, Zoey Stanton and Carol Seraphim
'Tombo' with Hope Powell(4) from Doseley and Sabrina Rafferty(8) from Dawley
A fun day for tenants and local residents at Doseley in Telford was organised jointly by staff of Bournville Village Trust and Beth Johnson Housing Association. Despite some mixed weather, a good turnout of parents and children enjoyed attractions which included a bouncy castle, on site DJ, children's entertainer 'Tombo' and bouncy football.
Lord Grocott, formerly Telford MP Bruce Grocott and his wife Sally were presented with flowers after he opened the event
Councillors Sue and Phil Davis, Lord Grocott and Sally Grocott join youngsters on the bouncy castle
Former Telford MP Lord Grocott kindly came along with his wife Sally to declare the event open and clearly enjoyed the proceedings - commenting that since he had moved to the House of Lords (where he is Government Chief Whip) it was pleasant to be able to stay for a while and not have to rush from event to event on his weekends back in the Town.
