They will be spending two weeks comparing youth provision in Africa with that provided in the UK. The three girls have already received £500 each in sponsorship monies from Bournville Village Trust Housing Association in return for work in the community.

The teenagers who are also members of the 'Young Movers' youth team, based at Trafford Hall in Chester, will be making a presentation of their findings to the Trust's Community Department, on their return.

Rebecca Debenham, Community Assistant at Bournville Village Trust said: "The young people involved with the Woodlands Youth Group are part of an up and coming youth forum which is supported by the Trust. We help them to arrange a series of activities which keeps them occupied during school holidays, as well as furthering their education."

Anyone who is able to support the three girls with additional sponsorship should contact Rebecca Debenham on tel. no. 0121 472 3831.
