Bournville Tenants Satisfied With Their Lot
November 23 2006
If you live in Bournville and your landlord is Bournville Village Trust then you will be among the 88% of tenants who like where you live. 91% say that the oldest landlord in Birmingham is good at communicating with them and find the staff helpful, 88% are satisfied with repairs and maintenance that are carried out to their properties, which 86% say is in good condition.
These are incredibly positive statistics for a social landlord and are much improved from the previous tenant satisfaction survey which was carried out three years ago.
It is now a requirement that all Registered Social Landlords undertake an independent satisfaction survey every three years. The 2006 survey which was carried out by High Wycombe based CWA Research Consultancy, shows that Bournville is a very pleasant place to live.
Some of the main complaints from residents were the loss of the post office and the potential loss of the local bank. Tenants applaud the provision of affordable decent housing and the wide range of activities for teenagers which the Trust supports.
Becci Jones, Research and Performance Manager at Bournville Village Trust said: "As a whole, the results are incredibly positive demonstrating an increase in satisfaction levels across all the areas covered as compared to the previous survey carried out in 2003. However, we will still continue to work towards making improvements and in three years time expect to see a further increase in satisfaction percentages".
