have regular great events at Selly Manor. They are always family friendly, with lots of hands on experiences, things to make and super sights to see! Medieval Mayhem – February Half Term
15 th – 19 th February
Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm
Visit our Royal realm and make a fighting knight or dancing princess. Create a knightly visor or glittery masque. Try on replica armour or dress up as a princess in Courtly Corner. Plus! Learn about the art of chivalry, join drill practice and play games.
Eggstreme Easter Eggventures – Easter Holidays
2 nd – 11 th April
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. Saturday, Sunday & BH Monday, 2pm – 5pm
Spring into action with great Easter themed activities including an egg hunt, daffodil bookmark craft and create springy lambs. It'll be eggcellent – no yolk!
Terrific Toys – May Half Term
31 st May – 4 th June
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. BH Monday, 2pm – 5pm
Play a wide range of historic and traditional games and toys, including quoits, marbles and juggling.
Jesters! – Summer Holidays
3 rd – 13 th August
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. Sunday, 2pm – 5pm (not Saturday)
Enjoy jolly jester family fun. Create your own jester's hat and juggling balls. Find out about the history of jesters, solve the Riddle Race, craft an acrobatic jester toy, enjoy dressing up and learn jester skills including diabolos, plate spinning and Tudor games!
Ghoulish Games & Creepy Crafts – October Half Term
25 th – 29 th October
Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm
Join us for spooky Halloween goings on, if you dare! Make a wand and broomstick game. Print your own ghostly house picture and delve into the infamous yucky boxes!

Wicked Workshops
Make a Pomander Tuesday 17th August
Using an orange and spices make a smelly Tudor air freshener. Discover Tudor herbs and rotten remedies.
Toy Tinkering Wednesday 18th August
Make your own traditional toys including a cup and ball, marbles game and nought and crosses.
Pirates Thursday 19th August
Ahoy me hearties. Make a cutlass, eye patch and pirate hat.
Make a Kite Tuesday 24th August
Make and decorate your very own kite. Fly it if it's windy!
Ship Shape Wednesday 25th August
Create a model Tudor ship from a milk carton and set sail.
Fairy Fun Thursday 26th August
Fashion your own fairy wings and wand.
Booking for workshops is essential so please call us on 0121 472 0199 or email sellymanor@bvt.org.uk with your name, the number of places you wish to book, and your address and telephone number. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Each workshop runs at 10am and 1pm on the stated day and lasts for approximately an hour and a half. Workshops are suitable for children aged from 5 – 11, and cost £3.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults receive free entrance to the workshop but an admission charge is applicable should adults wish to view the museum.

Wedding Open Day 16 th May, 2pm – 5pm
See the beautiful medieval hall, the perfect location for a small wedding, and meet our experienced staff.
Garden Day & Craft Fair 27 th June, 11am – 4pm
A day to celebrate the stunning Tudor garden, including the herbaceous borders, herb garden and wildflowers. Plus, visit our craft fair with a wide range of stalls selling handmade and locally created crafts.
William Alexander Harvey Exhibition 17 th July – 1 st August
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. Saturday & Sunday, 2pm – 5pm
An exhibition on the life and work of William Alexander Harvey, George Cadbury's principal architect during the early years of Bournville's creation. The exhibition will display Bournville Village Trust's Harvey archive for the first time.
Castle Arts Society Exhibition 31st August – 5 th September
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm. Saturday & Sunday, 2pm – 5pm
A mixed media exhibition by local artists.
Heritage Open Day 12 th September, 11am – 4pm
Visit the museum for free and join guided walking tours of Bournville village green. Booking essential for tours – please call 0121 472 0199.
Charity Christmas Card Sale November – December
Tuesday – Friday, 10am – 5pm
Hundreds of charity cards on sale for good causes.
Christmas Craft Fair 27 th November, 11am – 4pm
A seasonal craft fair with stalls selling items including ceramics, photography, handmade cards, food, jewellery, textiles and wooden objects.
Christmas by Candlelight 4 th December, 5pm – 8pm
See the Tudor manor and medieval hall decorated for Christmas and lit by atmospheric candlelight. Join marvellous Tudor musicians and a seasonal storyteller for fantastic festive evening.
