Wicked Workshops...
IMPRESS WITH PRINTING Tuesday 14th April
Using paint, ink and all manner of methods get printing and create your own Tudor-inspired diary cover.
MAKE A POMANDER Wednesday 15th April
Using an orange and spices make a smelly Tudor air freshener.
KNIGHT TRAINING Thursday 16th April
Take part in drill practice, practice your hand to eye co-ordination, make a sword and design your own coat of arms.
SHIP SHAPE Tuesday 18th August
Make a model Tudor ship from a milk carton and set sail!
LAVENDER BAGS Wednesday 19th August
Sew your own beautiful lavender bag and fill it with supplies from the Selly Manor garden.
MAKE A KITE Thursday 20th August
Make and decorate your very own kite. Fly it if it's windy!
TOY TINKERING Tuesday 25th August
Make your own traditional toys including a cup and ball and marbles.
JESTER SKILLS & TUDOR GAMES Wednesday 26th August
Learn juggling, diabolo and plate-spinning skills. Play a selection of fun-filled games!
MARVELLOUS MEDICINES & ROTTEN REMEDIES Thursday 27th August
Explore the herbs and plants from the Selly Manor garden. Make your own mini knot garden, and historic concoctions.
Booking is essential! Please call us on 0121 472 0199 with your name, number of places you wish to book, address and telephone number as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Each workshop runs at 10am and 1pm on the stated day and lasts for approximately an hour and a half. Workshops are suitable for children aged from 5 11, and costs £3.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults receive free entrance to the workshop but an admission charge is applicable should adults wish to view the museum.

Hop on down and make a Springtime mobile, craft an eggstra special Easter card and get a crack on with the Great Egg Hunt.
Victorian Visions in Brilliant Bournville May Half Term
Monday 25 th Friday 29 th May,
Mon Fri, 10am 5pm.
Find out about life in early Bournville the village built by George Cadbury. Take the village design challenge, play Victorian games, get creative with a Bournville poster and come along to share memories of Bournville past.

Creep along and make a wicked witches hat and beastly bug bangles. As part of The Big Draw design and make a wondrous wizard wand. Get dressed up and create your own scary story
if you dare!

Wedding Open Days Sunday 5th July
2pm 5pm
Visit the stunning medieval hall, the perfect location for a small wedding. Take the opportunity to meet our experienced staff.
Exploration of Colour Saturday 11th July Sunday 26th July

A display of works in various media, including oils, watercolour, acrylics, pastel and computer, by the artists of Studio 309.
Garden Open Day Sunday 19th July
11am 4pm
Enjoy the beautiful period garden in all its splendour. Tours throughout the day, and plant sales to support the National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens.

Heritage Open Day Saturday 12th September

As part of Heritage Open Days join us for free tours of the Tudor manor. We'll also be holding a craft fair with demonstrations, craft stalls and a garden sale.
University of Birmingham Guild of Students' 3BUGS Fringe Theatre present...MACBETH
Thursday 19th , Friday 20th & Saturday 21st November, 7.30pm
Journey through the rooms of the picturesque Selly Manor to chart the rise and fall of this enduring anti-hero. This November, explore the darkest recesses of ambition in the depths of the house as Macbeth and his Lady murder and scheme their way to the grave. A period performance with a modern twist, acted and produced by the finest of Birmingham 's student talent. Booking essential.
Charity Christmas Card Sale November December
Hundreds of charity cards on sale for good causes.
Candles, Music & Stories Christmas at Selly Manor Friday 18th December
5pm 9pm
See the beautiful Tudor manor decorated with festive greenery and lit by atmospheric candlelight. Enjoy music and dancing with marvellous Tudor musicians. Delight in seasonal storytelling with Julie Ann Cooper.
