Consultations
On Saturday 12th July residents at Lightmoor Village were invited to attend a consultation event at the Estate Office. This was the first of many planned consultation opportunities for residents to influence the development of the villages amenity areas.
The area known as Holywell Meadow is going to be the first "green area" and residents were invited to give their thoughts on how that should be developed. Some interesting suggestions included, using only native trees, designated quiet areas and sustainable sourced seating.
Scott Wilson, consultants to the joint venture were on hand to show plans and share their ideas with residents. Children’s activities were organised by the Wildlife Group and prizes were donated by the Resident Involvement Officer who said "Almost forty residents came along to share their views with us, this is real consultation, and all suggestions and ideas will be forwarded to Scott Wilson and feedback will be given back to the residents using a variety of methods".
Any resident who wants further information on any issues affecting the environment or wants to become more involved in the village can contact the Resident Involvement Officer Kath Hughes on 01952 504390 or E-mail: Kathleenhughes@bvt.org.uk
