This page will also signpost tenants to Bournville Birmingham events that Shropshire tenants are encouraged to attend as well as local (Shropshire) events. Attendance at these events needs to be pre booked through the Resident Involvement Officer on 01952 504390
Bournville United
The Bournville Village Trust annual tenant conference. The theme this year is one of unity and bringing together tenants from Shropshire and Birmingham in one event.
The event takes place this year on Saturday 10th May at the Holiday Inn Dunstall Park Wolverhampton. We will provide transport from the Telford area for those tenants who wish to attend. Invitations will be going out in the post over the next few weeks. An early expres-sion of interest would be appreciated.
Annual Shropshire Tenants Conference
Now in its seventh year. Tenants have expressed a desire for a change in format from a workshop based conference. Officers working throughout Shropshire have listened and collated those views and responded by a change in venue, theme, content and programme. The group is working hard to stage a never to be forgotten whole community event which will take place this year in the new Hadley Learning Community. The Hadley venue has state of the art facilities, and are working closely with us to stage the event which this year takes place in October at tenants request. More details to follow.
Tenants goal setting day
Recently held at the Holiday Inn in Telford brought together tenants and officers to set some achievable goals for 2008. The overwhelming feeling from our Shropshire tenants was that they wanted more contact with one another. We are working hard to address this situation and prevent tenants being isolated form one another and from the Shropshire management team. Tenants who were present on the day requested more informal meetings, more fact finding trips and more local courses. We aim to run a similar event on a quarterly basis. We will advertise future events on this page.
