Bournville Village Trust Tenants first get together for 2008

Tenants of the Bournville Trust came together recently at a Telford hotel to discuss ways of working together in 2008. A series of informal workshops were used to decide what activities or events the Bournville Village Trust needs to work on with its tenants.
The day was workshop based and groups of tenants assisted by an officer on each table was given the opportunity to make a list of activities they would support in 2008. This was fed back to the Resident Involvement Officer who will compile a report and action plan from that list. The clear message from the day is that the Trust needs to be in touch with, and involve many more of its Shropshire tenants in its work. This could mean attending meetings, events or family fun days. It could mean getting involved in the work of the Trust by becoming an elected representative or a mystery shopper. If any tenant would like further details of how they can make a difference as individuals please contact:

Special thanks go to the Mayor of Telford and Wrekin Cllr Miles Hosken who gave his support by attending and speaking on local issues. The Mayor took lunch with the tenants and officers. We are grateful for his continuing support to the Trust and its work in Shropshire.
