The first meeting of

Lightmoor Wildlife Group was held

On Friday 25th April at The Bournville Village Office

  • Organising walks on the historic lanes around the area with the South Telford Rights of Way Officer
  • Finding out more about local plants
  • Learning how to spot local birds
  • Looking for ancient hedgerows and old trees, some indicators of the medieval landscape, with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust
  • Finding out what plans are in place to enhance the wildlife of the village, and getting involved
  • Learning about Lightmoor Nature Reserve, and finding out how we can be partners in the conservation of this fascinating area
