Bournville Village Trust (BVT) is values-led charitable trust working to create and sustain communities where people can thrive.

We were founded by social reformer and Quaker George Cadbury in 1900 and we’re proud to be one of the Midlands longest serving independent charitable trusts.

Bournville Village Trust provides services in central and south Birmingham and Telford, including in Lawley and Lightmoor Village, to over 9,000 households. The work we do includes:

  • Managing environmentally sustainable estates, including the Bournville Estate.
  • Providing nearly 3,700 social-rented and affordable homes.
  • Delivering community-support services that help people thrive and lead successful lives.
  • Ploughing surplus from commercial activities back into our neighbourhoods.

Our corporate plan details our mission, aims, values and priorities for the next 10 years and you can download and read our 2023-2032 plan below.
