1: The Life House

What can they help me with?

  • Food and Toiletries Bank giving out food parcels to vulnerable people.
  • Drop-in sessions on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm at The Life House Centre. Due to current social distancing rules, they only have one client in the building at a time. They provide a hot meal and there is access to The Life House’s other services.
  • A Benefits Adviser who can help you with life issues.
  • A Counsellor who can give emotional support.

2: Riverside Church and Riverside Performing Arts

What can they help me with?

  • Essential supplies (help with shopping, getting medicines etc, access to foodbank).
  • Social and emotional.
  • Trained phone chaplains ready and willing to offer telephone connection and support.
  • Riverside Performing Arts is running weekly Story Time and Dance Time with follow up resources on the Riverside Performing Arts      Facebook Page on Wednesdays & Fridays at 10am as a free resource to support children and families.
  • Weekly online services at 10.30am on Sundays (details on website below). Can also deliver these on DVD to people who don’t have internet access.

3: Bournville Community Hub

What can they help me with?

  • Essential supplies (help with shopping, getting medicines etc, access to foodbank).
  • They support the work of the local street champions across Bournville.
  • They collect food donations and operate emergency Friday food parcels.

4: The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS)

What can they help me with?

  • Essential supplies (including access to the B30 Foodbank).

Call 0121 728 7030 and select ‘option 2’ for foodbank enquiries. You can also complete a ‘relief form’ to register for any additional help you may need at https://theaws.co.uk/relief/

 

5: St Francis Church Bournville

What can they help me with?

  • Food support
  • Social and emotional support.

6: Northfield Community Partnership / B31 Voices / Northfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme

 

What can they help me with?

They are providing a community support directory of organisations offering services such as essential supplies, income and money advice, and social / emotional support across the whole of the Northfield constituency, including Bournville. View the directory at www.b31.org.uk

If you’re an organisation, you can publicly list it by completing a form on the b31.org.uk website

A helpline is also available on 0333 772 1931 Monday-Saturday 10am-2pm for help and guidance with food parcels, prescription collection/ delivery, support for families with children etc.

 

7: B30 Foodbank

What can they help me with?

If you cannot afford food they will provide you and your family with food for three days. To access the services of the Foodbank, you can us on 0300 333 6540 and ask for the Financial Inclusion Officer who will be able to fill out a referral on your behalf
