1: The Life House

What can they help me with?

  • Food and Toiletries Bank giving out food parcels to vulnerable people.
  • Drop-in sessions on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm at The Life House Centre. Due to current social distancing rules, they only have one client in the building at a time. They provide a hot meal and there is access to The Life House’s other services.
  • An Adviser who can help you with life issues (including benefits).
  • A Counsellor who can give emotional support.

2: Riverside Church

What can they help me with?

  • Social and emotional.
  • Trained phone chaplains ready and willing to offer telephone connection and support.
  • Weekly online services at 10.30am on Sundays (details on website below). Can also deliver these on DVD to people who don’t have internet access.

4: Northfield Community Partnership / B31 Voices / Northfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme

 

What can they help me with?

They are providing a community support directory of organisations offering services such as essential supplies, income and money advice, and social / emotional support across the whole of the Northfield constituency, including Bournville. View the directory at www.b31.org.uk

If you’re an organisation, you can publicly list it by completing a form on the b31.org.uk website

A helpline is also available on 0333 772 1931 Monday-Saturday 10am-2pm for help and guidance with food parcels, prescription collection/ delivery, support for families with children etc.

 

5: B30 Foodbank

What can they help me with?

B30 Foodbank provides emergency food for people in crisis. Please note they do not provide pandemic-related regular weekly parcels.

If you cannot afford food they will provide you and your family with food for three days. To access the services of the Foodbank, you can us on 0300 333 6540 and ask for the Financial Inclusion Officer who will be able to fill out a referral on your behalf.  Food parcels are delivered to clients.
