Our independent living schemes offer:

• An Independent Living Co-ordinator based on site two days a week and available Monday-Friday by phone or email for support and guidance in maintaining your tenancy.
• 24-hour emergency response service activated via pull cord or pendant. Please note, we’re unable to provide personal or nursing care, but staff can support you with having this arranged.
• A range of resident-led social activities, from coffee mornings, crafts and games to day trips and meals out.

Our extra care scheme offers:

• A Scheme Manager onsite Monday-Friday and a 24-hour response service in an emergency.

Bournville House

Bournville House in Lightmoor Village, Telford, provides high-quality extra care housing for rent for people aged 50 and over who want to live independently. Each of its 59 apartments are wheelchair accessible and have:

• Door entry system monitored within apartment.
• Lounge
• Kitchen
• Two bedrooms
• Bathroom with a level access shower room
• Hallway with store cupboard
• Emergency pull-cord intercom system.
• Communal facilities include a gym, library, computers with internet access, hairdressing salon, activity/craft room, lounges, dining area and coffee bar, landscaped gardens and greenhouse, lifts, laundry, buggy store, car park and guest suite.
• Bournville House has a care and support team on hand 24-hours a day. This is charged at an additional rate and not provided by Bournville Village Trust.

Residents at Bournville House can also benefit from services offered by third parties including, nail and beauty treatments in the building’s therapy room (charges apply) and a weekly fitness instructor who provides free exercise classes.

Christopher Taylor Court

Christopher Taylor Court in Bournville provides independent living rented housing for people aged 55 and over and has 42 individual one-bedroom apartments. It’s close to Rowheath Pavilion, Woodlands Park and Cotteridge Park and each apartment comes with:

• Kitchen.
• Bathroom.
• Bedroom.
• Lounge.
• Emergency pull cord intercom system.

Communal facilities include a lounge with communal Wi-Fi, lift, stair lift, laundry room, IT facilities, a small library of books and landscaped gardens.

Christopher Taylor Court also has a guest room for your visiting friends and family and storage space which can accommodate up to eight mobility scooters.
