No-one is immune to fraud or scams and the criminals behind it target people online and in their homes.
At Bournville Village Trust, all our staff carry photo ID and are always happy to show this to you if we visit you at home. If a contractor we employ needs to visit your home, we will contact you beforehand to let you know.
If you have any concerns about the identity of a visitor to your home, please call us on 0300 333 6540. Do not let visitors into your home if you have concerns about their identity.
Fraud
Staying vigilant and always taking a moment to stop, think and check whenever you’re approached, can help to protect you from fraud. For information on how to spot fraud, protect yourself and access practical advice and support, go to https://stopthinkfraud.campaign.gov.uk/
Scams
If something seems too good to be true, it might be a scam. For example, a holiday or item that’s much cheaper than you’d expect. A scam can often start when someone you don’t know contacts you unexpectedly.
