Bournville Works Housing Society (BWHS) was founded in 1919 to provide quality homes for those most in need. Historically, these have been allocated to those employed by Cadbury/ Mondelez in Bournville.
Today it continues to provide 313 high-quality rented homes to people where a need for social housing can be demonstrated.
BWHS also offers additional preference to those who are:
- In receipt of a Cadbury or Mondelez pension
- Currently employed by Mondelez and have been in continuous employment with them for three years or
- An existing tenant’s son or daughter whose parent has been a named tenant and member for no less than three years.
BWHS properties are often in high demand and are allocated in line with BVT’s size criteria when making an offer to applicants.
