Beeches proposal submitted to planning

Together with Spring Housing, we are proposing to repurpose the former Beeches conference centre and hotel to give it a new and meaningful lease of life as apartments for families in need of safe and suitable accommodation.

These families are trapped in temporary accommodation due to the lack of affordable housing in Birmingham. The proposed scheme will be general needs housing, like many social housing tenancies in Bournville.

Spring Housing will provide housing management-related services and a range of advice and information services to help people thrive and achieve their life goals.

A planning application for the proposal (Application Number 2023/07517/PA) has now been submitted and you can view it on Birmingham City Council’s planning portal at https://eplanning.birmingham.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=Planning%20Applications%20On-Line&TYPE=PL/PlanningPK.xml&PARAM0=1278948&XSLT=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Birmingham/xslt/PL/PLDetails.xslt&FT=Planning%20Application%20Details&PUBLIC=Y&DAURI=PLANNING&XMLSIDE=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Birmingham/Menus/PL.xml

Thank you to all residents who have expressed an interest in joining a Friends of the Beeches group. We are in the process of contacting you, either via email or letter, with further information.
