We recently had the great pleasure of meeting Bournville Village Trust’s (BVT) oldest tenant.

Norah is 101 years old and has been a BVT tenant for a whopping 52 years. She moved to Bournville in the 1970s and during the war, worked at the ICI ammunitions factory and volunteered with the fire service.

She has nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and even three great, great grandchildren!

Norah says the secret to reaching 101 years old is porridge and prunes for breakfast, being surrounded by good family, dancing and simply enjoying life. What an inspirational lady!

Norah was presented with flowers by Gareth Sinnett, Income Services Manager at BVT, and was joined by sons Roy and John and two of her great grandchildren Olivia and Alex.
