BVT is reminding all customers that we are here to help you manage the cost of living. You can access a range of support that includes:
- Cost-of-Living Guide. The Guide includes details of help that you can access or apply for, information on what help/support may be given to you automatically, especially if you claim means tested benefits, and tips on how you can help yourself with your household budgeting. You can read the Guide here.
- Support with food, energy bills and essential household items. This year we’ll be reaching out directly to customers most impacted by rising costs due to their circumstances to offer support with food, energy bills and essential items to keep well during the winter. These include single working age adults who have the least access to support/benefits. We’ll be contacting you directly if you are applicable for this scheme as we will not be operating a self-referral application process this year.
- Money Matters and Income team. If you’re struggling to manage money and bills, including your rent, our friendly Money Matters and Income team can help you to maximise your income and manage bills. To speak to a member of the team, call 0300 333 6540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and request a Money Matters referral form.
And don’t forget as the weather turns colder, there are hundreds of spaces available across Birmingham where you’ll find things to do, people to meet and a ‘warm welcome’.
