UPDATE: Please be aware our Grounds Maintenance team is working at reduced capacity today (9th January) and currently most roads are not safe to travel on. We’ll continue to assess the situation throughout the day and deliver the services outlined below where possible within working hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

Storm Goretti is likely to bring snow/sleet to the West Midlands ON Thursday 8th January 2026 and into Friday 9th January. There is also snow currently forecast for Sunday 11th January.

Our Grounds Maintenance team will be focusing on gritting/clearing snow from across our estates where some of our most vulnerable customers live, for example our sheltered housing schemes for older people.

We also manage a number of grit bins across our Birmingham neighbourhoods, and they are being re-filled this week if they haven’t already.

If your area has a Birmingham City Council grit bin and it needs refilling, go to www.birmingham.gov.uk

Where possible, we will also grit/clear snow from other areas, but please be aware this is not guaranteed.

Our service operates within our normal working hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

If you live in Lawley or Lightmoor, please check our social media pages for Lightmoor and Lawley for details of services we provide in each village.
