Pictured are three sets of new parents , who are all neighbours in one street at Lightmoor Village. They met with the Resident Involvement Officer and the Head of Development to plant three pear trees in the Holywell Orchard area.
The planting forms part of the “Lightmoor Babies Project” which pledges to plant a tree for every child born in the village. The project is a time watch project and aims to follow the lightmoor babies through to school and beyond .
Kath Hughes said: “It is highly unusual to have three sets of parents with three babies planting their trees together, because of the demand we shall soon be running out of Orchard space. Parents however need not worry that their child will miss out, other planting areas have been identified so that we can continue to fulfil the project aims”.
