Eid-al Adha family celebration event 28th June

As part of our community building and championing people work, we are pleased to share that we will be hosting an Eid family celebration in the grounds of our 350 Bournville Lane office.

Taking place on Wednesday 28th June from 8am-11am, the family event is being organised and run by a group of local residents, who also run sports activities for young people at Shenley Court Hall, and will celebrate Eid-al Adha.

Also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, it is the second and the largest of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam.

The event will welcome families of the Muslim faith from across our neighbourhoods for prayer, celebration and social activities on the field adjoining our office.

On the day itself, organisers will arrive from about 7:30am to set up and will be arranging tables, chairs and gazebos on the main lawn. Families will begin to arrive from about 8am.

We recognise that this will be a very busy event, with approximately 100 families attending over the course of the morning, so we are working with the organisers to ensure that disruption to access/ exit our car park is kept to a minimum.

Our office will remain open to customers and there will be stewards in high-vis jackets monitoring the flow of visitors, with the main entrance being kept open for visitors to the building who are not attending the event.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding and I hope you will join us in wishing families celebrating, Eid Mubarak
