Selly Wood House nursing home in Bournville has been rated ‘Good’ by inspectors following an unannounced inspection.
Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and adult social care, visited the home managed by BVT in November 2019.
They observed staff and talked to residents and other visitors about their experiences of the home, staff and management.
The inspection report rated the home ‘good’ across five areas including safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Sam Kennedy, Head of Care Services at BVT, said: “We had a great team of experienced colleagues ‘on the floor’ during the inspection and it was a delight to hear the initial feedback from the Lead Inspector. What particularly resonated was the praise given to a carer who was discreetly observed supporting a resident.”
