Ahoy shipmates! Set sail for Selly Manor Museum this summer and have a go at pirate-packed crafts, adventurous activities and great games – perfect for young and old buccaneers alike.

Make a pirate hat, a perfect parrot to sit on your arm and design your own treasure map. Learn all about Tudor explorers and the adventures of Sir Francis Drake and then meet Selly Manor’s very own pirate and learn what it takes to be shipmate in Pirate School. Don’t forget to explore the museum and venture on a swashbuckling treasure hunt trail too.

PLEASE NOTE PIRATE SCHOOL WILL RUN MONDAY-FRIDAY WEATHER PERMITTING at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

12th – 31st August, 10am – 5pm

Adults £4, Concessions £3, Children £1. No booking required – just drop in.

Bournville Village Trust (BVT) residents receive free entry to Selly Manor Museum. If children of BVT residents wish to take part in the activities during this event then normal admission charges apply.

Accessibility: The activities takes place in the medieval hall of Minworth Greaves which is on ground level. The trail will take throughout the museum site which has steep steps and uneven floors.
