As you may be aware, we have had to remove a number of items from the Hawkestone Road playground in Shenley after they were broken/vandalised.

As a result, we have decided to carry out a full review of the playground and the wider condition of the park rather than keep replacing these items, which is costly.

This review will take time, and we want to carry out a consultation with the local community to understand what you want from the playground/area now and in the future, and how we can work together to keep it safe to use.

The playground and multi-use games area is nearly 20 years old and needs significant investment. We are committed to continuing to provide a playground but we want to make sure we are investing for its future before making any further changes.
