In December 2024, we invited Bournville Village Trust (BVT) tenants to a special workshop to understand what you think about our approach to resident engagement.

An independent engagement specialist facilitated the event, held at Woodbrooke in Bournville on 13th December, to make sure we got really honest feedback we can turn into clear actions.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the tenants who came to the event and gave us their thoughts, ideas, and inspiration.

Arthur Tsang, Director of Communities at BVT, said: “The event gave us lots of feedback, some of which was positive and some of which showed there are things we need to improve on.

“The good news is that we recognised many of the improvements tenants wanted to see and things are already happening in some of these areas.

“For example, we’re working on new customer service standards and developing more ways to communicate with you and include you in decision making. We’re committed to continuing to look for new and better ways to do things.”

The engagement session gave us three areas to investigate in more depth. These are:

• How BVT colleagues and tenants can work together.
• How BVT communicates with you.
• How we can use our heritage to bring people together.

Over the next few months, there will be opportunities for you to get more involved with this work. And we’ll make sure we keep you informed about how tenant engagement helps us change for the better.

If you missed the event but would like to share your thoughts on resident engagement, please email communityadmin@bvt.org.uk or call us on 0300 333 6540.
