Electrical Safety

We carry out inspections and tests to make sure the electrics in your home are safe and fit for use.

We do this by carrying out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) which assesses the safety of your home’s electrics and their condition.

When we visit your home, a qualified electrician will inspect and test the ‘fixed’ electrical parts of your home, like wiring, plug sockets, light fittings and the consumer unit (fuse box).

The length of the inspection will vary depending on the size of your property and we may need to disconnect the electrical installations from the mains supply whilst tests are being carried out.

The EICR will show whether the electrical installations in your home are ‘satisfactory’ or ‘unsatisfactory’, will detail their condition and any works or further investigations which may be needed.

Inspections are carried out on a five year cycle in line with the Electrical Regulation Recommendations and best practice.
