Protecting wildlife and conservation is an important part of the work that we do to maintain and look after the estates and villages that we manage.
Our environmental commitment includes:
- Managing the trees within our parks and open spaces, including annual inspections to check their health. Where trees need to be felled, native species are used to replace them.
- Managing tree spinneys
- Introducing wild flower areas to encourage butterflies, bees and other insects
- Installing bird, owl and bat boxes
- Developing and maintaining bee apiaries on the estate.
