BVT shortlisted for third year running in Housing Heroes award.

Bournville Village Trust (BVT) have been shortlisted in the Best Company Health & Wellbeing initiative in Inside Housing’s Housing Heroes awards for the third year running.

Our entry showcases our fully inclusive health and wellbeing initiatives, including events and activities in communities across Birmingham and Telford.

These include our intergenerational activities between schools and our extra care scheme including gardening, craft clubs and storytelling. Collaborating with external partners to create events and activities ranging from a dementia friendly cafe to commemorating Baby Loss Awareness week. With so many people struggling, we have also created cost of living guides signposting people to where they can get additional help as well as running food bank delivery and collection points. Our health and wellbeing initiatives also involve our staff enabling them to attend workshops and webinars on topics ranging from men’s health to mental wellbeing and resilience.
