Job Profile

We are recruiting a Community Places Manager to join our Community Development Team who will oversee the management of BVT’s Community Places portfolio and work with internal and external partners to ensure BVT’s Community Places are well managed, supported and deliver high-quality social impact.You will play an integral part in helping us to achieve our mission of ‘creating and sustaining communities where people can thrive.’

This role will involve working with both internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of the Trust’s Community Development activity. People matter at BVT so we are looking for a confident professional who can help deliver on both our business and social ambitions for this are of work and place communities at the heart of all we do.

The role involves:

  • Managing, leading and motivating staff, volunteers and others working with and for BVT’s Community Places.
  • Collaborating with BVT’s Community Development Team to ensure connected and coordinated delivery across the team’s wider work.
  • Using performance KPI’s and other monitoring data related to BVT’s Community Places to strengthen performance.
  • Supporting the development of social value accounting/impact monitoring approaches that further enhance how BVT assesses the performance of it’s Community Places. .
  • Working with Community Places holders to improve their services and social impact.
  • Developing and managing relationships and communications with Community Place holders.
  • Working with BVT’s teams and wider partners to support and promote involvement and engagement across the Community Places portfolio.
  • Leading on the design, implementation, monitoring and reporting of strategy, policy and guidance that supports BVT’s management of its Community Places portfolio.
  • Identifying strategic and operational risks within areas of responsibility ensuring key controls and assurances are in place to manage these risks effectively.
