Having asbestos in your home does not immediately pose a hazard and while it remains in a good condition, there is no risk to you or your household.
Asbestos containing materials become a hazard when they start to break down and degrade or are disturbed.
This means that people working in homes are far more likely than residents to be exposed to asbestos dust as part of their works, if for example, asbestos is drilled or cut.
To ensure the safety of residents and staff, we commission a full inspection in advance of any planned works to make sure they will not disturb any asbestos containing materials.
If any asbestos containing material is going to be affected by the work, we will ensure that it is safely removed prior to the work starting.
