As your home gets older we may need to replace key components such as bathrooms, kitchens, boilers, windows or doors.
Every year we plan which of our homes will need a component replaced based on its age and condition.
Our planned replacement programmes, shaped by residents, will see us invest £23m into homes over the next six years and replace 1,465 boilers, upgrade 375 heating-systems and fit 1,575 new front doors.

When your home is scheduled for replacement works, we will contact you in writing to tell you, allowing time for any necessary surveys and designs before work starts.
We will also talk to you about any concerns or queries you may have about the proposed improvements.
Once this has happened, the contractor carrying out the replacement works for us will contact you to arrange a start date for work to begin. Depending on the type of work, this process may vary but a letter will be sent to you with full details.
During the work both a Contractor Supervising Officer and a BVT Officer will attend your home to check progress, the conduct and performance of the contractor and answer any queries you may have.
Once completed, the work will be signed off by yourself, a BVT Officer and the Contractor Officer and you will be asked to complete a Customer Feedback Form.
Your feedback helps us to closely monitor work and make any improvements in our processes or the performance of our contractors.
