If the noise is found to be a statutory nuisance, the Council can serve an abatement notice which could require the nuisance be stopped altogether or limited to certain times of day.If someone is driving dangerously, or causing a nuisance by driving inconsiderately, it’s important to report this to the Police on 101 for a non-emergency or 999 for an emergency. Make a note of the registration number, make, model and colour of the vehicle if possible. Taking photographic or video evidence could also be useful, only if it’s safe to do so. If it’s safe and possible, you could speak to your neighbour directly about this issue.
