Estates and Stewardship

Our Estates and Stewardship teams help manage more than a dozen neighbourhoods.

You may see our estates officers out and about in your neighbourhood or they could visit you if you’re applying to make an alteration to your home.

Our Grounds Maintenance team, and estate caretakers in Lawley and Lightmoor Village, also work to keep neighbourhoods clean and green.

What can our officers help you with?

  • Make sure public areas like parks, roads and paths are well maintained.
  • Make public areas more environmentally sustainable.
  • Fix estate issues or raise them with the organisation responsible.
  • Guide you through the process of making an alteration to your home.
  • Act on alterations that don’t have BVT approval / meet guidance.

To help fund this work, we charge an annual fee to households within our scheme of management in Birmingham, Lawley and Lightmoor Village in Telford.

Charges vary depending on where you live and the service/s you receive. You can understand more about charges by downloading our frequently asked questions about management charges below.

You can raise an estate issue by filling in the form at the bottom of this page. You can also contact our Estates and Stewardship team by calling us on 0300 333 6540 or emailing enquiries@bvt.org.uk

To read about the standard of service you can expect from us, you can download our estate management in Birmingham service standard below or go to our Lawley and Lightmoor Village micro-websites.
